About the Artist
Let me introduce myself in a more exciting and captivating way! I am Alina Tacmelova, the mad scientist of art and transformation. With my pencil as my magic wand, I’m on a mission to create a whole new language in Art that speaks to our souls and lifts our spirits!
But let’s rewind a bit to the early days of my journey. Picture this: a feisty, determined little girl in Transnistria, Moldova dreaming of a world filled with kindness and magic. Little did I know that my path to making that dream a reality would lead me through the vibrant world of art.
Fast forward to the ’90s, a time of chaos and rebellious trends in my country after the Soviet Union was collapsing. While others were busy trying to be “cool criminals,” and made a lot of money, I found my own rebellion in the world of literature. I went to University. I devoured the works of Dostoevsky, Bulgakov, and Tolstoy, and they became my guiding lights, whispering in my ear, “Life is like a story, and you are the author. Create your own concept, reveal your characters, and make it epic!”
Inspired by these words, I embarked on a journey with my first husband and father of my incredible son. Together we opened a non-profit organization ‘Health future”. We poured our hearts and souls into projects that helped HIV-infected individuals, troubled teenagers, and those battling substance abuse. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but every day felt like a grand adventure.
But as the saying goes, “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” My desire to help others almost led to my own burnout. That’s when I decided to dive deeper into the world of psychology, seeking a way to save myself and continue making a difference.
And then, destiny took me by the hand and led me to the land of maple syrup and poutine—Canada! It was a leap of faith, fueled by curiosity and a thirst for new horizons. Within a short span of time, I found myself in Toronto, with my young son by my side, ready to embrace this new chapter of my life.

Canada didn’t immediately steal my heart, but I gave it a chance, and oh boy, did it pay off! In less than a month, love-struck me like a bolt of lightning. I met my second husband, and it was love at first sight, fireworks exploding in the sky kind of love. We’ve been partners in crime for 13 incredible years, building not just a life together, but also three successful businesses.
But life has a way of throwing curveballs, and amidst the chaos of running our businesses, I found myself on the verge of burnout once again. It was a wake-up call, a neon sign from the universe telling me to hit the pause button and reassess my priorities.
And then, COVID came crashing into our lives, turning everything upside down. But amidst the chaos, I found clarity. I returned to my roots, psychology, and transformed myself from within. Armed with two coaching certificates and a newfound sense of purpose, I began coaching others on their own journeys of self-discovery and transformation.
But there was still something missing, a missing puzzle piece in my grand masterpiece. And it was in the magical streets of Rome, amidst its crazy architecture and rich history, that the missing piece fell into place. Art, my long-lost love, called out to me, beckoning me to merge my knowledge, experience, and passion into one magnificent creation.
And so, here I am, venturing into the world of art with a newfound fire and determination. With the guidance of my soul sister, Marina, who serves as my mentor curator, I am ready to combine psychology and art, speaking to the hearts of a wide audience through visual expression.
So, my friend, are you ready to embark on this exhilarating adventure with me? Together, let’s rewrite the language of mental well-being, infusing it with the colors of joy, the strokes of inspiration, and the laughter of our souls. Get ready to unleash your creativity, discover new dimensions of yourself, and join me in creating a world where kindness and magic reign supreme!
